Serbian American Voice
A basic premise of the Serbian Unity Congress is that every citizen can and should participate in the management of their society and its problem.

|
The Voice Program provides the major outlet in the United States through which the Serbian American Diaspora can formulate positions on issues that affect areas of interest to our community. Our Washington Office builds and maintains relationships with policy and opinion makers, informing them on issues important to our community, and engages our friends and members in participating in their democracy. We carry out our Voice work through a number of programs:
-
Serbian American Day in Congress – In 2005 we launched the annual program through which we invite Serbian Americans from around US to come to Washington where we organize and orient them in the halls of Congress to meet with their Congressional representatives. >>>
-
Serbian American voter base – We regularly inform and mobilize Serbian Americans to participate as constituents in elections, build relationships with elected officials locally by meeting with them and informing them about their Serbian American constituent base and the interests of that base. We are currently promoting participation in Census 2010 >>>
-
Serb Diaspora Voice in the Homeland – At this time we work with the Embassies of Serbia and Bosnia and Hercegovina to help them reach Serb Diaspora members from their countries and promote their rightful participation in voting in the Homeland.
-
Serb issues position papers – The Serbian Unity Congress formulates position papers representing issues of importance to Serbian American voters. >>>
